When Latin pop sensation Becky G joined forces with Afrofusion superstar Burna Boy for the single “Rotate,” our assignment was clearly defined: create a cultural moment that connected music, sport, and global audiences during the world’s biggest sporting event

Solution

Starlight PR worked with Kemosabe / RCA Records to bring the collaboration to life, helping orchestrate the partnership between both artists and developing a strategic campaign that aligned with Pepsi’s global football initiative.

The single “Rotate,” co-written by Becky G, Burna Boy, SoFLY, Nius, DiGenius, and Elena Rose, was selected as a centerpiece for the Pepsi global campaign “Music Keeps Us Fizzing.”

Our goal was not simply to launch a single but to embed the music within the global excitement surrounding the World Cup in Qatar.

To expand the campaign, Starlight PR led the development of a multi-layered promotional strategy designed to intersect music, sport, and global culture.

Key elements included:

  • A brand partnership activation with Pepsi’s World Cup campaign
  • Creative development and production of the #ForTheLoveOfIt commercial, a 50-second spot celebrating the energy of football culture
  • Strategic media placements and interviews across major outlets like Rolling Stones, Teen Vogue, Imprint, and HotNewHipHop
  • Influencer activations across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube to drive digital momentum

The commercial and campaign content were designed to capture the shared energy of music and sport, two forces that unite global audiences.
