Becky G’s trajectory in the Latin music landscape had already been extraordinary. The challenge was expanding that momentum onto the global stage, connecting with audiences beyond traditional genre and regional boundaries.
The collaboration with Burna Boy presented a unique opportunity to bridge Latin pop and Afrofusion, bringing two powerful global audiences around a shared cultural moment.
Starlight PR worked with Kemosabe / RCA Records to bring the collaboration to life, helping orchestrate the partnership between both artists and developing a strategic campaign that aligned with Pepsi’s global football initiative.
The single “Rotate,” co-written by Becky G, Burna Boy, SoFLY, Nius, DiGenius, and Elena Rose, was selected as a centerpiece for the Pepsi global campaign “Music Keeps Us Fizzing.”
Our goal was not simply to launch a single but to embed the music within the global excitement surrounding the World Cup in Qatar.
To expand the campaign, Starlight PR led the development of a multi-layered promotional strategy designed to intersect music, sport, and global culture.
The commercial and campaign content were designed to capture the shared energy of music and sport, two forces that unite global audiences.
The campaign generated international attention and positioned “Rotate” at the intersection of music, sport, and brand culture.
